Back story: Grew up in village on the outskirts of a city unknown to him. He was in a poor family and never understood the importance of money. He learned to worry about others more than himself. He was wandering around the woods one day and found someone laying against a tree. The man was in a full white robe and was badly wounded. He runs over and tries to help him and when he sees the wound he realizes there is nothing he can do. The man looks at him and smiles as the man puts out his hand and touches it to the his forehead. A white light comes out of the man's hand and strange, bending light starts swirling around him and transfers into his body. Afterword, the man grows angelic wings and slowly begins to vanish. He stands there, confused and baffled at what had just happened but the goes home. When he gets home, he finds that his village was attacked and burned down. He quickly rushes to his house and finds his family slaughtered and drops to his knees and begins to cry. He looks up and realizes that his sister is nowhere to be found. He searches frantically and is unable to find her. She is gone. He starts crying again but then hears a man coughing and groaning. He runs over and finds the man, dying slowly, leaning against a wall. He tries to help the man but, again, there is nothing he can do. He cries again, for he is unable to help anyone. Suddenly, the man in the white robe from earlier appears and hands him a book. The man smiles and vanishes for the last time. He looks at this book and looks, in amazement, that the title says, "Knowledge of the Powers of Reviving and Regeneration," and starts to read. After he finishes, he puts his hand out to the dying man and touches the man's forehead. A gentle, blue light appears from his hand and goes into the man's body. The man's wounds heal and the man slowly rises to his feet. The man thanks the boy and leaves him. He walks back into his destroyed house and finds a black robe and a note. The note reads, "Please take this as a gift from me and please use your newfound powers only to help others. If you do so, you will be greatly rewarded in the end. Thank you." He then puts on the clothes and, when he does, a strange light surrounds him and black wings appear on his back. He then sets off in order to find his lost sister and to help all he can along the way.
