Mary sues: Characters that are created to be perfect, to fight an enemy without retaining damage, have no flaws, and a sob story back ground (such as Naruto’s losing his parents and being rejected by the village) Things they wear don’t fit with their setting, or time period. They can also have strange affects that happen to their eyes, nails, body, or hair such as mood hair (changes color with their mood like pink for happy)
God Modding: There are many different definitions to this one being Mary sue. Another is the god modder takes control of a fellow role player’s character and destroys it (the only person with the ability to terminate a character is the Role Play Master)
True Role Play
(Incomplete)
Role Play has been around for years now. It is done many different ways; one of the most common is using symbols to show a character’s actions. (e.g. **, --, (), etc) This however is not correct. Role Play started out on the internet by people on AOL instant messenger (or any other messenger) chat rooms living out a fantasy they couldn’t in the real world. The true way to Role Play is to type in story format (e.g. He did, you are doing, I am going to; depending on what person you prefer to Role Play in {its mainly done in third}) as well as putting the character’s speech in quotes.
When coming up with a role play you must come up with a plot, setting, character sheet, and tense (past, present, future). You should also give a minimum amount of sentences you would like your Role player’s to do in order to not ruin your role play. When doing that though you might want to think ahead about people who aren’t Para Role players because you don’t want to give a 5 sentence minimum and have them not be able to complete it.
